Biography

They have been around for years with their fine stage show mixin’ up a traditional steel guitar sound with a lot of rockin’ energy joining their love for hillybilly bop, western swing, honky tonk, country and a mighty rockabilly disposition.

They have worked hard at honing a slick, polished style as evidenced by their rich discography filled with obscure gems, as well as, never dull original numbers.

Looking good, in eye-catching western vintage suits, the rockin’ hillbilly stuff from Italy has a lot to say using the language of country music and ol’ rock ‘n’ roll.

he  joined some of the most important festivals around europe and live shows in usa and russia too.

They got a new album coming out in the next few months, containing 13 tracks, some original, as well as well selected covers.

The official band line up includes: Rockin’ Bonnie vocals e rhythm guitar, Max Ammons vocals and lead guitar, Bobby Vain double bass, Matt fiddle and steel guitar and Navajo Joe Manuel drums.

Rockin’ Bonnie Western Bound Combo

Da anni sono nelle line up dei più prestigiosi festival internazionali di genere, hanno suonato a Mosca come in Texas, presentando un repertorio che spazia dall’ hillbilly, all’honky tonk, al western swing in una raffinata miscela di  armonie che richiamano il sud degli Stati Uniti del dopoguerra e un abbigliamento ricercato che evoca immediatamente la Golden Age della Country music dal Lousiana Hyride al Grand Ol’ Opry di Nashville. 

Capitanata dalla talentosa Rockin’ Bonnie, la band, che vanta anche prestigiose collaborazioni con artisti americani, interpreta, con un sound filologicamente curato ma energia tipicamente rockabilly, oscure gemme della country music degli anni 40 e 50 e brani autografi stilisticamente affini in un viaggio musicale che vi porterà con intriganti duetti vocali dal sud del Texas al Tenneesse, citando grandi composizioni di Bob Wills,Jorge Jones, Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams.

Sabrina Cocciolo aka Rockin’ Bonnie

Rockin’ Bonnie dal 2006 ad oggi rappresenta nel suo genere la più importante testimone femminile italiana all’estero. Vanta collaborazioni con artisti di fama internazionale, svariati lavori discografici e concerti tenuti in tutta Europa, U.S.A. fino in Russia. Partendo da un repertorio tipicamente Classic Rockabilly mid 50’s, voce leader e chitarra acustica del Western Bound Combo, mette in risalto tutta la propria passione e doti canore nel Country tradizionale dagli anni 40 agli anni 60, all’Honky Tonk, fino al Western Swing più articolato che rappresenta il perfetto connubio tra early Jazz e musica Folk americana delle radici.

Roberto Marmieri aka Bobby Vain Basso/Contrabbasso

Pioniere dello “slap bass” in Italia, già membro fondatore di due storiche bands del panorama Rockabilly internazionale, Tribal Bops e The Starliters con diversi dischi all’attivo per etichette come la  Tail Records – Svezia, Favourite – Germania, El Toro – Spagna On the Hill – Giappone, interpreta con venature western swing country jazz la passione per la country music e l’honky tonk. 

Max Zampini aka Max Ammons Chitarra

Diplomato al conservatorio in chitarra classica, è considerato uno dei più importanti chitarristi italiani di musica Roots Americana. Già cantante e chitarrista solista della celebre formazione The Starliters, vanta un numero copioso di lavori discografici e concerti tenuti in tutta Europa, Russia e U.S.A. Il suo stile riconoscibile ripercorre tutto il primo cinquantennio del 900′ dall’ early jazz fino al Rockabilly e Rock’n’Roll; all’interno del Western Bound Combo vengono date risalto le proprie doti in ambito Western Swing, Country ed Honky Tonk
